26-year-old Taylor McClatchie is arguably the favourite to win this tournament. Her Muaythai journey began at the Ottawa Academy of Martial Arts. There, she formed a foundation of knowledge that would prepare her for a journey that has led to capturing K1 and Muaythai titles in Ontario and the United States.
During the fall of 2017, Taylor left OAMA to continue training with her coach, Kru Jeff Harrison at his new facility, New Era Combat Sports. Soon after Taylor received an offer from Glory Kickboxing to compete at Glory 48 in Madison Square Gardens where she defeated Jennie Nedell with a highlight reel head kick KO in the first round.
Taylor enjoyed a 20 fight undefeated win streak before it was finally broken in January by Lisa Edinger at the USKA Fight Night in Philadelphia, bringing her official record to 21-1.
A tournament favourite, Taylor looks to continue her winnings ways on September 15th, 2018. However, there are 3 other competitors who are ready to keep that from happening.
Meaghan Cameron of Calgary is the next fighter to be featured in the 4 Woman Tournament article series. Until then, have a listen to our Press Conference with the 4 athletes.
